Three best exercises for sexy toned legs

They say that you can always tell a runner from their super-toned legs, but there are other ways to get your pins in shape for a New Year's mini-dress.

Here are three really simple exercises that you can do at home for some truly enviable legs:

1.      The heel lift

Find a low step, or a flight of stairs and stand with your toes on the step and your heel hanging off the end. Now stand on your tiptoes raising yourself up before lowering yourself back down again. Repeat this move 30 times.

2.      The lunge

Start with your feet about hip width apart and then take a good step forward with your right foot. Bending both knees push down through your hips into a lunge. Hold this pose for 30 seconds and then repeat starting with the other leg. Both legs counts as one rep, do 15 reps in total.

3.      The chair lift

Place a chair against the wall and standing straight, face the chair and stand with your feet hip width apart. Lift your right leg and place it on the chair then lift your leg up away from the chair and straighten your foot out until you feel your quadriceps engage. Make sure you are slightly bending the knee of the standing leg. Place the foot back on the chair and then lift off again. Do 15 reps of both legs.

Try mixing these exercises up with your regular gym sessions and see how toned your legs get. Try to do these exercises at least three times a week and then wow your friends with your stunning legs in time for New Years' Eve!
