Want an all-emcompassing workout that will leave you feeling strong, fit, toned and hard? Look no further. Body combat is here to kick you into shape.

What is Body Combat?

Body Combat is an energetic exercise class which brings together elements of a range of different martial arts. It is said to draw inspiration from a wide range of arts including karate, taekwondo, boxing and Tai Chi. The class involves lots of kicks, punches and movement, ensuring your heart rate is raised.

Who should try Body Combat?

Body Combat can be enjoyed by people of all experience levels. You can take it at your own pace and stop as you need, although the harder you push the better the results.

Experts recommend two classes a week to generate results, and to allow your muscles the time to recover in between classes.

What to expect?

Each class should begin with a run through of all the different moves you will need throughout, giving you a clear understanding of each move. For each 45-55 minute class you’ll push through a series of fight combinations and bringing together both aerobic and anaerobic exercises, your body will truly feel the burn. Body Combat helps burn calories as well as tone up and the exercise gives you opportunities to focus on your speed, endurance and power. Around 700 calories can be burned per session.

What to wear?

As with all classes your comfort is paramount. Clothes that are too loose or too tight will make it hard for you to focus on your exercise as opposed to your discomfort. Cushioned and supportive trainers are also your best choice as you’re bouncing up and down.
