Getting the most from exercise can sometimes be down to following some simple tips. There's noone better to ask than the fitness experts!

Read on for the tips from the top.

1.Make your workout effective

Getting  the best results means choosing exercises that require good technique and optimise muscle usage. Do this in the least amount of time and you will have a tight, effective workout.  We suggest you base your workouts on:

  • Regular Interval training. Unquestionably the best way to help tone the entire body and boost cardio. Just 10 minutes of a HIIT routine twice a week will work wonders.
  • Increase cardio. Aim for at least 60 minutes daily of activity that gets your heart pumping faster.
  • Regular strength training. 20 minutes twice a week will reshape your body. It doesn’t matter if you do bodyweight exercises, use free weights or gym machines  – if you are consistent, it will work!

2.Grab a buddy

Exercising with a friend will encourage, motivate and help you stick to your routine. Why not take advantage of our Refer a friend scheme to get you both started. The offshoot is that you will strengthen your relationship as well as your body.

3.Enjoy what you do

Probably the most important tip – pick an activity you like doing and that fits in with your lifestyle. Prefer outdoor workouts? Go for runs or bike rides. Hate weights? Forget the gym and join a local sports club. Anything that gets you moving will help you lose weight.

4.Stay inspired

Getting motivated for workouts is half the battle. So get inspired by reading fitness blogs or follow top fitness instgrammers to  see how other people succeed.

5.Set sensible goals

Don’t strive for impossible goals that make you feel like a failure when you don’t reach them. If you’re not ready for a 5k yet, just aim to run for 20 minutes and build up from there.
