Achieve better mental health by working on your life balance

Body image and self-esteem are a big part of our mental well-being. But feeling good about ourselves doesn’t always come easily. Work life and personal life can become out of balance, making us stressed, depressed and unmotivated.

So how do we achieve a healthy life balance? As it’s Mental Health Awareness Week, there’s never been a better time to find out.

WHAT IS A HEALTHY LIFE BALANCE?

Balanced living means making the commitment to protecting all aspects of your life: work, relationships, fitness and diet, emotional well-being.

In short, don’t get bogged down too much with the serious stuff without including time for the fun stuff too! Recharge yourself physically and mentally every day.

How?

Hussle.

Hussle so you can make your life balance work out better for you. Here’s what this looks like:

ENJOYING EXERCISE FOR GOOD HEALTH

We’re all busy people, right? And it’s so hard to find the time to workout. So rather than finding the time, make the time. Hussle is all about making time work for you.

It’s seriously worth the effort.

Exercise plays a huge role in stress reduction. Study after study shows that people who workout have better mental health.

Lacking motivation? Try these top tips to help boost your enthusiasm.

MAKING TIME TO EAT RIGHT

Committing to eating the healthiest foods will boost your body, spirt and joie de vivre like nothing else. Yes, sometimes more prep and planning time is needed. But not always! A decent breakfast in 5 minutes? No problem!  Makes you feel a whole lot better than an Egg McMuffin.

TAKING TIME TO BOOST CREATIVITY

Why is creativity important? Because it is a great way to de-stress and relax your mind. A relaxed mind means you’re more motivated to tackle your tasks and have more life enjoyment.

Schedule time each week for creative outlets. If it’s in the diary, it happens. Hussle in creativity whenever you can. Try out new recipes, listen to some new music, learn a new language on your commute to work, doodle! Anything to get those creative juices flowing.
