Tasty non-alcoholic drinks to get you through dry January

If you have the fear that dry January is going to be too tough to get through, then relax – as we’re here with some delicious alco-free mocktails to make your mouth water.

Thai iced coffee

Ingredients:

Strong black ground coffee, enough to brew four cups

4 tablespoons sugar

4 tablespoons heavy cream

2 teaspoons ground cardamom

1 teaspoon almond extract

crushed ice

Method:

Add the cardamom to your ground coffee and then brew the coffee as you would normally.

Pour the coffee into a pitcher or large glass and add the sugar and the almond extract. Stir well.

Fill four glasses with crushed ice and pour the coffee into each glass before topping with a tablespoon of cream.

More Mojo Mint Mojito

Ingredients:

2 litres soda water

2 tsp agave or sugar

1 small bunch of mint

2 fresh limes, sliced lengthwise

ice

Method:

Fill your glass half way with ice and fill with the soda water. Stir in the sugar, or the agave.

Lightly squeeze in the juice of 3-4 limes and stir. Add as many mint leaves as you like to taste, and garish with the mint and lime wedges.

Classic Virgin Mary Mocktail 

Ingredients:

Carton of tomato juice

Sprig of fresh rosemary

Stick of celery

Tabasco

garlic powder 

black pepper 

Couple of drops of Worcestershire sauce

Green olives to garnish

Method:

In shaker, mix the tomato juice with a splash of Tabasco, a splash of Worcestershire sauce, a pinch of garlic powder, and a pinch of black pepper. Shake it and pour it over ice. Garnish with a stalk of celery, a piece of rosemary, and some green olives.
