Summmer in Ibiza for fitness

Summmer in Ibiza for fitness

Sure, lots of us go on holiday to unwind, but when you’ve worked hard at getting that beach body why would you let it go to seed for the sake of a week or two?

Ibiza, renowned for its dawn-to-dusk party attitude, seems to have the answer with its holiday boot camp concept.

Healthy holidays aren’t for everyone, but they are becoming more popular with people who want an all-round body and mind experience, with extreme workouts, gentle meditation, yoga, and healthy eating all combined.

An example of this boot camp-style Ibiza getaway involves getting up at 7am, getting down to 45 minutes of serious cardio at 7.30am, breakfast at 8.30am, circuits at 9.15am, break at 10.30am, another full-on class at 10.45am, lunch at 12.30pm, a hike at 1.30pm, break at 3.30pm and then some strength and conditioning exercises, or some yoga. Dinner is served at 7pm, and then if you have the energy for it, you can enjoy the pampering services available to you.

Want to know more? Here's ho you could spend your holiday on a boot camp Ibiza experience.

You’d be forgiven for thinking that all this time exercising and eating well would detract from enjoying the beautiful country you’ve gone to visit, but the programmes actively encourage people to get out and about on the island, and if you’re going to visit a place properly, what better way to see it than by getting out and hiking it!

Food served at boot camp consists of healthy, wheat, gluten and sugar-free recipes, and caters for all sorts of dietary requirements, meaning if you have a particular allergy or sensitivity then you know you’ll be taken care of properly.

And after all that hard work looking after your body you can relax knowing that you won’t have to do much work on your tan – that will look after itself!
