Snap Fitness Gym, Aberdeen

Those who are serious about their workout regime will have heard of Snap Fitness before. They have multiple locations throughout both Britain and the rest of Europe.

There are over 2,000 Snap Fitness gyms and counting, with their Aberdeen Central branch offering Technogym cardio equipment, free weights, and even an Olympic Lifting rack.

This gym is open Monday to Wednesday from 07:00 until 21:00, closing at 20:00 and 18:00 on Thursdays and Fridays respectively, early closing on Saturdays is 15:00 and the gym is closed on Sundays.

 They have personal trainers, Fitness on Demand fitness classes, virtual and real time training, and run additional classes like boxfit and HIIT training.

Snap Fitness is more than just a gym. You’ll find them on Aberdeen’s West North Street with very useful free parking.

Robert Gordon University Gym, Aberdeen

Although originally beginning life as a gym where students could improve physical fitness or study health and wellbeing, RGU is now open to Hussle members and pass holders.

A student gym at its core, this is one of the best gyms in Aberdeen because it isn’t just a gym; it’s a place where you can learn at the same time as you work out.

The RGU is situated on Garthdee road, Aberdeen, where you can take advantage of the free parking. Opening hours are from 6 am – 10 pm every weekday and from 9 am – 7pm on weekends.

Facilities here include a crystal clear 25m swimming pool which is open to families at the weekend, 3 different gym suites with state of the art equipment, interactive media centres complete with an online training system, personal trainers, group classes, and even a climbing wall.

This is an Aberdeen gym focused on the young and adventurous. It’s also a great place to get some personal training or to take part in group fitness classes.

The Aberdeen Altens Hotel Health and Fitness Club

Another contender for best gym in Aberdeen is the upmarket offering found at The Altens Hotel. This is an Aberdeen health club which caters to tourists and visitors as well as our discerning Hussle members.

Opening times for The Aberdeen Altens Health Club are 06:30 until 22:00 week days and 07:00 until 21:00 every weekend.

If you are looking for a posh work out in the city, we can’t recommend it enough.

This newly refurbished gym comes with its own indoor pool and spa. It has a steam room, and they give swimming lessons, which is nice. Not all of us reach adulthood able to swim.

They have a beauty therapist and often see wedding parties passing through, which gives you an idea of the high class amenities found in this gym.

Aberdeen health clubs don’t get any better than this.

You will find The Altens on Souterhead Road but remember to book in advance. The hotel has parking onsite, too.

The Village Gym, Aberdeen

Those looking for a welcoming health club that is out of the city centre, should head to Kingswells, just off the A944 and check out The Village Gym.

They have their own 20m heated swimming pool and great facilities onsite – including a sauna/steam room. The Gym is equipped with the latest in running, climbing, rowing, and cardio machines.

The facilities here are well maintained and high end. There are forty spin bikes and classes are run from the Village Gym.

Aberdeen residents can take yoga, Zumba, or boxercise group fitness classes here as well as personal training at extra cost.

It is not just a gym offline, either. They have On Demand fitness from home and a full Technogym, too.

The Village Gym is open 7 days a week. They open from 5 am – 11 pm, Monday to Friday, and 7am – 9 pm on weekends. You can get 4 hours of free parking as a Hussle member, but otherwise this chain gym charges for parking.

We recommend The Village for those who want a luxurious gym experience and who are serious enough about going to ensure they will get the most out of it.

Aberdeen Sports Village

Situated on Linksfield Road, The Aberdeen Sports Village is another Aberdeen gym for the serious gymgoer and the eager novice alike.

They offer everything from personal training sessions to yoga classes.

They offer other additional fitness sessions too, including group exercise and Pilates classes and there is a spacious fitness studio, personal trainers and functional training area, too.

In terms of equipment, you will find an impressive free weights stand, punch bags and great squash facilities.

 Aberdeen Sports Village is the ultimate place to both work out and relax, with a reinforced gym floor, resistance machines, cardio machines.

As if it couldn’t get better, they have their own swimming pools with lane swimming as well…

The Aberdeen sports Village is thoroughly all-inclusive, so they have the sauna, steam room, and all the other spa facilities that you have been dreaming of to unwind after your session.

They are open Monday – Friday 6.30 am – 10.30 pm and Saturday 8.30 am – 5.30 pm, Sunday 8 am – 5.30 pm.
