About this gym

Reformer… but not as you know it. Forti's machines might look similar to reformer pilates (and all of Forti's instructors do have qualifications and a background in teaching pilates), but this isn't your average pilates class. Forti combines modern pilates and strength training on an extra-large reformer — known as slow resistance training. Forti is built on the principles of slow resistance training — built around heavy springs, control, and time under tension. There is no hiding behind momentum in a Forti class, just slow, deliberate, continuous movement that challenges the body from start to finish. Low impact, high intensity. Designed to build strength, improve stability, and sculpt the body without the strain of traditional workouts. For those who've done pilates before, there will definitely be some familiarity, but they'll also notice some differences in the way Forti trains and the moves they do. New to Forti? Arrive 10 minutes early, and the team will get you set up. You'll also need some grip socks for safety and hygiene, so bring your own, or buy them in class for £9.
