Their gym has a range of equipment available for its users, so you can be assured you will get the most out of your workouts! The Principal offers a vast variety of equipment including free weights from 2-20kg, barbells from 15-45kg, cardio machines and a studio that is fully kitted out for class sessions including spinning.
There is also a dedicated area to complete mat exercises equipped with kettle bells, singular plates, ropes and bags. The other side of the gym is just as great with a fantastic looking luxurious spa area including a pool, sauna and steam room ready for you to relax in after a challenging workout.
Located in the luxurious Principal hotel the site overlooks the private gardens at Charlotte Square. This Georgian townhouse will help you feel right at home in their restaurants and bars. You'll find the hotel at the bottom of George Street and is only a short walk from Princes Street. It's easily accessible by bus and only a 10-minute walk from Waverly Train Station.

Relatively small swimming pool that was slightly too busy with around 6-10 people at 4pm although the weather may have played a part. Excellent facilities and luxurious.

I like that it is a quiet and clean gym. The staff are friendly but they also know when to let you get on with your workout.

There are limited facilities on the machines such as interactive tv (very few channels available) and no actual wall mounted screens. Again there are only three treadmills etc, however it always seems possible to get on the machine you want after no or little waiting. The staff are all lovely
