Christmas is over. It is ages until Easter. It’s still cold, damp and dark. Definitely time for a mood and morale booster. If you are a Manchester bee in need of some fitness TLC, try these premium venues for a winter escape. All you need to get in are your Hussle pass and some photo ID.
Spacious, light and airy despite being underground, this club teams a wide range of fitness options with a luxurious spa. The kit includes everything from state-of-the-art cardio machines to plyo boxes, spread over three floors of equipment. The spa includes a steam room and sauna and there is a 20 metre pool. There’s also a lounge and café to complete the chill out.
The club is a few minutes walk from either Piccadilly or Oxford Road stations, and plenty of buses stop nearby.
Newly refurbished and super-central, this friendly venue offers a wide range of spa and gym comforts at a keen price. The 18 metre pool is flooded with natural light, and is complemented by steam room and sauna. The gym has a huge selection of cardio and resistance machines, and there’s a separate free weights room as well as exercise studios. There’s an on-site car park with very low charges, or take the short stroll from Deansgate station.
Just over the river Irwell from Deansgate Metrolink station is the Beetham Tower, the second tallest building in Manchester. Livingwell is situated within the Hilton Deansgate in the tower, and has all the luxury touches you would expect from the location. The 20 metre swimming pool and gym both have great city views - the pool even has underwater viewing windows! There’s an adjacent jacuzzi pool, sauna and steam room, as well as a compact but well-equipped gym. There’s parking nearby and Oxford Road station is just a few minutes away.
Grade 2 listed on the outside, state-of-the-art on the inside – this club is full of character as well as facilities. Relaxers will enjoy the 16 metre pool, separate spa pool and sauna and steam rooms. Workout fans will find all the functional training, cardio and resistance areas that anyone could want. It is all fitted in around the columns and brick walls of the old mill building.
The club is located in the restored Houldsworth Mill, a six minute walk from Reddish South station. Parking is free.
Escape the Lancashire winter and enjoy your spa and workout!

very timely as I'm working in Manchester for a few weeks, so will check these out. Good to see places that aren't London being featured.
