Travel hacks. Tips to save time and money

Travel hacks. Tips to save time and money

Ready to Hussle like a seasoned traveller? Style it out and save time and money with our handy travel hacks.

Multi-purpose clothing

Think comfort, but also practicality. Decent shoes. Layers. Leggings under a dress – comfy for a flight, but easy to whip off at the first sight of sun.

Keep your suitcase light

Wear coats with deep pockets, and put on your heaviest shoes. If you're flying. you’ll save kilos on your suitcase weight limit. The more you wear, the more you can pack.

Save yourself time and stress by being prepped. Pack your toiletry bag, make sure you’ve divvied up your hold luggage from hand luggage, and be as ready to go as you can the night before you leave.

Wherever you’re travelling to, find somewhere with a kitchen. If you can cook even one meal a day, you’ll save yourself a packet.

Venture beyond the doorstep

There’s a savvy trick to follow, sometimes known as “the five-block rule”. Wherever the tourist centre is, venture out at least five blocks out. You’ll find fewer crowds, more authentic cuisine, and cheaper prices.

Time for fitness

Because you Hussle, you can find a gym near you to fit in a quick bit of exercise. Which means you can tuck into a guilt-free beer or two afterwards. This is your time after all. Relax (and feel smug).
