Makeup. Never leave the house without it or never bother?
Most women - and some men - are somewhere in between. Whatever, we all need to look after our skin in the gym.
Sweat and wiping are make-up’s greatest enemies, which makes the gym a real battlefield for cosmetics. Your sweat glands also need space to work. If they are covered with makeup, they can get blocked. Spots? No thanks. So if at all possible, remove makeup before a workout. A reusable cleansing cloth in your bag is the easiest and most eco-friendly way to do it.
It’s easy to say ‘go to the gym bare-faced’. Not so easy for everyone to do, for various reasons. If you are happier with a little coverage, try a super-light CC cream. Add some super-sweatproof mascara and a dab of powder, all in close matches to your skin-tone. That will smooth things out without looking out of place.
Made up or not, a good wash down after your workout is an essential. Grab a shower if you can, if not give your face a sluice or a gentle wipe down. Dry off with a clean towel, and let the post-workout ‘glow’ subside before reapplying any makeup.
Make sure your towel and gym gear get a regular good wash – don’t leave them festering in your bag! Wash hands thoroughly after handling gym equipment, and try not to touch your face until you have done that. A good gym is kept clean, but there are limits to what they can do when things are busy. You don't want someone else's sweat on your face.
Embrace the sweat. Keep it clean. Get the right products. That way you can Hussle. And still look good.

Any makeup would be sweated off in five minutes at the gym, so it would never occur to me, but luckily my 'breakout' days are behind me. The 'festering gym gear' thing rings a bell though, must do better on that!
I also use BB cream and find it great for the gym. No way am I going bare-faced. Does anyone really sweat that much that it means their pores get blocked?
I always wear a little make up to the gym, but then I wear make up everyday anyway. But it's only BB cream and a little mascara, so wouldn't block my pores. And knowing I look good energises me so i put more into my workouts!
